My sister wants to know - which goes on the face first - liquid makeup, foundation, primer, or concealer?

Primer goes first. It helps keep makeup on your face. It would be pretty silly to apply it over your foundation. Foundation most likely will go next. Concealer and foundation aren't usually used together. Foundation is more for a face full of blemishes, while a concealer is used just to cover a few blemishes. A powder is applied last. It gives the final touch up to foundation. My sister wants to know - which goes on the face first - liquid makeup, foundation, primer, or concealer?
First apply a moisturizer to the face. If the skin is oily find an oil free kind. Then apply primer - I like Laura Mercier, Smashbox is good too though. I like to apply concealer before foundation because many times people apply foundation first and they layer on too much because they haven't touched up the blemishes first. If you apply concealer first to just the trouble spots(I use a brush so it doesn't go all over the surrounding areas) then you don't need to use so much foundation. But you can also apply the concealer after the foundation - whatever works for you. Foundation comes in powders, liquids, sticks, creams, and cream-to-powder. There is also tinted moisturizer that can be used instead of foundation if your sister has really nice skin already. There are four basic types of concealer. 1. For undereye circles. It has to be dense enough for dark circles, but delicate enough for the thin skin around the eyes. A light, creamy formula is best. 2. Blemishes 3. Discoloration. Need a densely pigmented concealer to thoroughly cover dark spots. Stick and pencils work great for this. 4. Redness. Try a concealer with yellow undertones. Also blue or green tinted creams can neutraliize the color of inflamed skin.

Hope this helps! My sister wants to know - which goes on the face first - liquid makeup, foundation, primer, or concealer?
First let her know that liquid makeup foundation are the same thing! hehe.

Its primer first[Thats what is called 'primer' prime means first lol]

Then its the foundation, to smooth everything out and to make her skin look even.

Then its the concealer to cover any marks or blimishes. But alot of the time after using foundation, you really dont need any concealer.

Actually, some people mix up the last two steps, some put foundation before concealer, and others put concealer before foundation. Whatevr floats her boat though.
Tell her: foundation goes on first and I'd recommend buying mineral foundation- i use it and it's amazing
Your ';sister';?
Tell your sister to talk to your Mom.

And by the way, I think you need to have a chat with your Dad!!

Can you suggest something that actually covers up redness in the skin not a concealer i want more of a liquid ?

Liquid concealer or foundation. You can get green concealers the counteract the redness. Then cover the green with a normal concealerCan you suggest something that actually covers up redness in the skin not a concealer i want more of a liquid ?
Benefit Erase paste. I use the lightest colour. You use a little scoop to put it on. It works brilliant. Sware by it. It's a little on the costly side but well worth the money. Can you suggest something that actually covers up redness in the skin not a concealer i want more of a liquid ?
this stuffs really good, you just put it on after your moisturiser- before your foundation or whatever you use.

Apparently the green tinted concealer is for covering up redness. I read it some where about that. Had always wondered why there was greenish concealer.
No 7 in boots do a good green make up base

its like a creamy thing

and quite cheap :)

look it upp
clinique do some nice anti redness cleansers etc.

Also I have quite red skin and use estee lauder double wear foundation which is really good at hiding it.
You can try a green tinted foundation primer if you have general redness on your skin that you're not happy with. Smashbox and Make Up Forever have some, but Make Up Forever is more liquidy than Smashbox. Good luck!
I tried the green concealer thing becuase I have quite naturally rosy cheeks.. and it didn't work. :(

The green stuff is supposed to be good.

I have red cheeks and I use a brand called Cover FX.

I find it works best for me.

theres no such liquid but there is a green concealer which is supposed to take away redness
Buy some green concealer from your local cosmetics shop!

its for pigamentation [Red areas on the skin]

You can get purple and white aswell, but green is the best!!

  • Liquid or Stick Concealer?

    i have oily/acne skin

U should try BB creams! :)

The BB Cream, aka Blemish Balm, is the hottest beauty product in Asia right now. It has the advantages of both a makeup and skincare product. It can even out skintone, camouflage undereye circles, acne scars and add radiance to the skin without the heavy mask-like effects of a foundation.

I am not exactly sure what exactly you want. Is it a dewy look? still the best products for the job are Bee Luscious Cosmetics, Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation and then finish off with any of the shimmering mineral powders, its an awesome look .
I also use Almay concealer in the long tube and for foundation Covergirl Trublend Liquid Foundation works really well....
MAC has an amazing spf liquid foundation.

They have one with a dewy finish and a silk/shine finish, they both give you an amazing glow.
I love the products by Bee Luscious Cosmetics they have an excellent variety to choose from and its easy to shop on line.

I use their foundation and concealer with great success always !

What is the best concealer and powder foundation(not liquid) you have used and bought from a drugstore?

I use and love Affordable Mineral Makeup. They have 11 shades of foundations and 3 concealers. If you go to the website listed under source below and scroll down on the left side of the page, under Information you will find ';Makeup Techniques';. This gives you information on how to apply the makeup. What is the best concealer and powder foundation(not liquid) you have used and bought from a drugstore?

I like Burt's Bees concealer and Covergirl powder foundation.
I like the maybelline PURE products, because they offer great coverage without clogging my pores or putting harmful chemicals on my face. They also reduce oil if acne is a problem for you.
I like that Dream Matte Mouse. It works good for me.
i like advanced radiance pressed powder from Cover Girl.

it doesn't cover up pimples. but it helps even out my complexion.

i also like continuous wear foundation from CG too. technically it's a liquid foundation, but it is really light and it doesn't clog pores, or so says the bottle. :)

i have fair skin and got the one that says fair on it and im just not sure what to do ive wore it but not been out with it on xx any helpp pleaseCan u wear liquid coverup cream concealer on its own?
start with a liquid foundation then cover it with powder

thats what i do =]Can u wear liquid coverup cream concealer on its own?
Yea as long as you blend it in enough i use collection 2000 illuminating touch concealer for under eye circles %26amp; dont like wearing foundation so i just wear that. You can apply it with a foundation brush. Hope you get it :)

    Good luck--Xx
you can wear it by itself, but make sure you really blend it into your skin so it doesn't look noticeable.

but if you're covering up under eyecircles with concealer and you don't wear anything on top, it's usually noticeable after a few hours. so if you're applying it to your eye area, i suggest you cover it up with a little powder.
The concealer on its own is fine because if you got a good one then it will cover up a lot, but if you want to go for a darker look then put a light, natural foundation on top of your concealer.. Or you could put a light powder on top but if you are young then powder isnt that good for your face so just go with the liquid foundation. What ever looks best really ....

In what order do i apply all of these?Moisturizer, Concealer, Primer, Liquid Foundation.?
Moisturizer, primer, foundation then concealerMoisturizer, Concealer, Primer, Liquid Foundation.?
moisturizer (let it set for 10 minutes)

    primer

    concealer

    liquid foundation

or, some people do it this way

    moisturizer

    primer

    liquid foundation

    concealer
Moisturizer, then prime. But the last two you can switch it up, there are no rules to make up. I know a lot of people like putting their foundation then concealer. Or like me, I do it the other way around. Also keep your moisturizer for at least 10-15 minutes to set it, you might wanna cleanse before then put on the moisturizer when your skin is damp it helps my dry skin.

There is something called a liquid powder, it goes on liquid but it doesn't streak.. there is one from revlon that works over acne scabs and doesn't look fake, plus if your skin is oily it helps not make your face look oily because the powder absorbs some of it.

MAC Studio Sculpt - It is a cream

I like Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush BUT is your skin isn't slick enough or you put too much on it can clump up and look more like face paint than makeup.

I would say powder. I love CoverGirl Cheekers. They are portable and simple and gorgeous.Whats the best concealer out there? liquid, stick or moose? which is the best brand to use?
it really depends on what you need it for and personal preference

--- if you need it for blemishes, then go for a cool shade to cancel out redness

--- if you need it for under eye circles, go for a warm shade to cancel out the blue-ness of the circles (probably also a shade lighter than your natural skin tone)

--- if you need it for more coverage of skin discolorations then you just want to get a full coverage that is the same as your skin tone

personally, i use make up forever for my blemishes and mac for my under eye circles, but i also heard that maybelline mineral power concealer is really good too.

as for blushes, again that is a personal preference. usually peachy to coral colors look flattering on every skin tone (if you are more fair, i would suggest a rosy pink color and if you are dark, i would consider getting a rasberry or almost-purple shade. i think that cream, gel, or mousse blushes stay on longer than powder, but i dont know what you like. if you like powder, then get powder, if you like liquid, get liquid. really most brands do a good job with their blushes so i dont see where you could go wrong with getting one brand or another.
For under-eye concealer, I like Bobbi Brown's line the best.

As far as blush, I think anything can be good as long as you have primed your face with makeup, or makeup primer properly. A fresh pink looks nice in the summer, and makes you look younger. I use Bobbi Brown ';Nectar';, but NARS ';Orgasm'; is also very good.
MAC is good, but I find that it makes me break out! :(

I use Revlon liquid and I like it a lot (and I like the price), also I use Mark by Avon in stick followed by powder.
maybeline mineral power concealer is realy good
MAC is awesome...go to the mac counter...it also depends on the type of coverage u need
    stick and mac is amazing

What do you wear on your face (everyday)? Concealer? Liquid Foundation? Powder? .. etc.?

    Hmm.

I have never really been much of a makeup person. I used to buy the 3 in 1 stick (by Mabelline) and that worked great! (the Cover Girl one is too thick!)

Anyway, that has been discontinued .. SO, I tried Clinique Liquid Makeup and that just seems too thick to me.

I also have Clinique Powder, but I don't like the 'powdery' look.

What is the best makeup just to even out my skin tone? (I get rosy red cheeks) .. without using powder? Is there a lightweight makeup out there?

I use mineral makeup (loreal) and i also use there mineral blush everyday plus mascara, eyeliner (pencil for inside of eyes liquid on lid, some smoky eyeshadow or sometimes a sparkly beigy colour, and before i put my foundation on i cleanse tone and moisturise.
Hi!! I wear concealer, powder/make up (from mac, it's not powdery but not liquid) i love it!, eyeliner and mascara, oh an a blush from avon which i looove as well. Yeah i don't need to wear it, and my husband thinks i look better without any make up but i go to work and i love what eyeliner does to my eyes ;)

There's no ugly women, only women without make up, lmao.

    have a great day!!
i used to use cover girl foundation and loose powder. touch up with pressed powder. dark brown eyeliner, and lip-gloss.

now i use raw minerals. been using them for a few months now, LOVE IT. also, i now use a brown eyeliner and burt's bees liptint.

    http://www.myrawminerals.com/

i tried bare minerals, i like raw minerals better.
IF I wear makeup it is always ';Bare Minerals.'; It's light and doesn't feel like I'm wearing any.

I rarely wear makeup since it's a lot of trouble.
it really depends on where i'm going...

i would suggest a light-weight foundation for everyday wear.

actually, there are specific brands which are made light-weighted so u feel like u're not wearing anything.. make-up bases are usually not so heavy. look out for ones with sunscreen... i've been using garnier... wonderful.
I wear BareMineral powder on my face most days. It is a powder, but a foundations also. You can try it risk free for 30 days. I did that 3 years ago and have not ever worn anything else.
After applying sunblock and letting it ';dry'; I wear Maybelline Mineral foundation(powder). That's pretty much it, sometimes I'll wear mascara and eyeshadow, but as a college freshman w/ early classes, its not often!
I use baby powder to get rid of the shine on my face. Then I use TruBlend blush in neutral. Then I cover up my blemishes with a coverup that has an SPF of 25.
After washing my face... with some stuff, I apply moisturizer and then a sunscreen lotion and after that powder. And do make a touch up according to the day.
I usually use eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipstick,am not much on concealer, though i do use some powder sometimes.
    Concealer, foundation and blush.
    concealer, liquid foundation, powder.
foundation , eyeliner, lip gloss, mascara
I use liquid foundation from Arbonne, and I love it. It feels light, but gives full coverage.
    liquid foundation and powder
    Just eyeliner and mascara
everyday, i just do the simple, moisturizer with sunscreen (used to use Olay Complete then switched to Garnier with spf 28 but it has a fragrance...)

then i smooth it out on my face and neck

and apply some light concealer on my undereyes...

    that's it!

i try to not pile so much makeup on my face unless it's some special dress up occasion because i don't want to risk having to deal with break outs... i try to keep my skin clean as much as possible. and all the products i use, i can get at walmart or drugstores.

you might want to try Physician's Formula tinited moisturizer as a light foundation formula. it's completely organic, and does a great job covering slight blemishes... i've heard a lot of good things about this one.

also, i use Covergirl Smoothers Concealor, it's really smooth as long as you get the right tone for yourself!

    good luck and be yourself!

    I need help finding a concealer/liquid foundation?

I am a rookie when it comes to make-up. My mom doesn't wear much herself so she wasn't able to share her knowledge like most moms/daughters.

I recently bought the Bare Minerals brand kit in the TAN color because I asked one of the make-up specialist at Sephora's to help me. Now I need a concealer or liquid foundation. Can someone recommend one to me that they tried and tested?

I have dark under eye circles (glasses). :( I look like my avatar. Thanks in advance.I need help finding a concealer/liquid foundation?
you dont need a concealer!!! dont buy one. i have the bare minerals and i remember reading somewhere that it doubles as concealer. so i tried it and it does!! its great. its foundation and concealer in one. all you need is a small concealer or eyeshadow brush to apply the bare minerals w/! it will cover dark cirles, pimples...anything. easy-peezy-lemon-squeezy haha :]

    hope i helped

Liquid makeup be used like a concealer?

can revlon ';new complexion'; liquid makeup hide dark lines under your eyes??Liquid makeup be used like a concealer?
Yup, but it'll be a little harder to put on because of the sticky consistency. I would recommend the Covergirl pressed powder. I have some, it works great and smells heavenly!Liquid makeup be used like a concealer?
It will diminish the appearance of undereye circles, but not obliterate them (which isn't what you want, anyway). Concealer is usually a thicker texture than foundation and is for use in small areas only. Foundation is meant to be used to just even out your skin tone where it needs it, although most people just cover their whole face because it's easier.

You could use a concealer brush for more concentrated application of liquid foundation under your eyes - just go easy. Too much product will just get cakey.
sometimes. if it is too dark than probaly not but it can help minimize the darkness. Try putting a light concelar on and blending it with your liquid foundation. tahts what i do. then brush on some bronze powder to cover shinyness.

  • OK PEOPLE. Concealer under eyes before or after LIQUID foundation ?

i use a creamy concealer, it's the one by mac.

and i use their studio fix fluid foundation as well.

i'd really like a real make up artist's help on this one.OK PEOPLE. Concealer under eyes before or after LIQUID foundation ?
ALWAYS after! See, the key to concealer is to pick a shade lighter than your foundation because the lighter color covers up the tones better than one of your own skin color. If you apply concealer before your foundation, you just cover up the light color you put on and the concealer does nothing! thats why you apply your skin-toned foundation FIRST then apply the lighter concealer SECOND. I hope I helped!OK PEOPLE. Concealer under eyes before or after LIQUID foundation ?
I was watching what not to wear and the makeup artist Carmidy said to apply it after foundation. Because if you apply it before when you put your foundation on it just wipes it off.
u always put concealer after the foundation, it never goes first.

u can google it too and you will find videos abt it. u can specify it if u wanna find the eye makeup tips only.

what is the best concealer and foundation to use? Cream, Powder or Liquid ??? any suggestions anyone?? :)What is the best concealer and foundation to use? Cream, Powder or Liquid ??? any suggestions anyone?? :)?
Well it does depend a little on your skintype, but I would definetly suggest L'Oreal Bare Naturale for both. They give flawless coverage (coming from someone with awful skin) and they really do look natural. The prices are affordable too. $12 for the concealer and $15 for the powder foundation at any Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Kroger, etc. What is the best concealer and foundation to use? Cream, Powder or Liquid ??? any suggestions anyone?? :)?
I personally prefer liquid as it blends better, you have more control on application %26amp; looks more natural. But they say if you have very oily skin, powder is better. I think cream is not suitable for dry skin also.

Nowadays, everyone is using a foundation brush to apply the liquid foundations which makes it look better %26amp; more natural.

Sorry this is not relevant to the quesrion but thought you might find it interesting:

Make sure your foundation matches your skin tone exactly, otherwise you'll end up looking orangey/fake.To find the right colour, use the samples and put it on your jaw line on bare skin and blend it in. If (in natural light) the foundation blends into your skin, making it look natural and not noticeable, you have your match!

*****TIP: Always wear moisturizer about 5 minutes before applying foundation. It makes your foundation go on smoother %26amp; more evenly.A really good one that moisturizes well is Boots Traditional range Moisturizer with Vitmian A%26amp;E

***TIP: If you want to achieve a natural look, only apply foundation to those areas of the face that actually needs coverage; such as redness, uneven skin tone etc..This will avoid the cakey look %26amp; gives a really natural look!
I'd say use a liquid foundation, something like Mac Studio Fix Fluid SPF15, It provides a good coverage and a flawless matt finish. Especially if used with a MAC 190 foundation brush. Then, a powder is great to put on top your foundation to help it set. I would suggest is MAC Blot Powder/Pressed, it sets the foundation and is great for touch ups during the day.

Mac select cover up is a good concealer, s it hides does dark spots.
Depends on your skin type and the weather. In hot weather and oily skin, loose powder works alot better than liquid ones. It's also important to get the right shade because if it's too dark it would come out very orangey and unnatural and if its too light, it would look too pasty. So always test it at the store and see how it blends with your skin tone.

There are many different brands out there ranging from $7-$45. It all depends on what you want to spend. If you can afford it, I would say MAC studio (powder type) is the best. If you want drug store brand, I would say NYC mineral loose powder is great and very cheap.
MAXFACTOR :: long lasting performance (:

try it. has many choices of tones/shades.

wouldn't make your skin too dry or oily.

plus, you wouldn't have to use a concealer.

cause that liquid foundation is definitely great.
ok so loreal is the best for all!!!! if you want also try maybelliene they are good too!!

and liquid foundation is the best!!! believe me, it gives you a flawless look!!! and then just set the liquid foundation in with some loose powder!!! and i always like to put on my concealer before the liquid foundation, but thats just me!!!
the best is cream to powder foundation by iman, you can order these product from this website www.paks.co.uk
i suggest liquid and then apply the powder, smashbox has great foundation and benefit has great powder products good luck!

what i would always do first with those 3products is i would

    1st: Concealer

2nd:liquid foundation(let it compleatly dry first)

    3rd: Pressed Powder

[ if you put the pressed powder on after the liquid fondation then it won't look as cakey ]

i would prefer you don't put mosturizer before becuase well; idk =D

I would prefer you put mosturizer after you take off your make-up so your face would feel great and refreashed; also try a cleansing mask; such as Neutragina or how ever you spell it =D

    well hope i helped =D
    ALWAYS moisturise

because, your skin absorbs that instead of the make up

(I use bare minerals)First put your foundation (liquid, powder, what ever it is) THEN put consealour that's lighter than your skin tone on your spots. because, if you're applying the foundation correctly it should be blended in well, which would cause the consealour to move. I donn't use liquid at all so

first i do powder, because it's the base, (but i guess you could use liquid but it's bad for your skin)

    THEN I touch up.

then I'll dust a little powder over it to make it look the same color.

    then i apply brozer

    then blush

then mineral veil that's traslucent because it sets the make up
I use my L'Oreal Bare Minerals set..

    1. Concealer powder, cover up all of the little spots first.

    2. Foundation powder - buff it all over to make your complexion even.

    3. (Bronzer/blush)

    4. Translucent setting powder! :) To set your makeup.

It's all mineral powder because the liquids always make me break out. It is just as good though, maybe even better.

    Et voila!
    1. moisturize.

    2. concealer.

    3. liquid foundation

    3. pressed powder

    **added steps..**

    4. bronzer

    5. blush
bkz it will mke the makeup the makeu go on smoother and stay on longer

    1:liquid foundation

    2:conceale

    3:ressed powder

    good luck

    hope i helped

    -Anna
    1. moisturize.

    2. concealer.

    3. liquid foundation

    4. pressed powder

Theres really a lot you could do. Its difficult to pick so what I end up doing is starting cheap and trying out a few different ones. The review site is pretty good at http://www.brandsmakeup.com visit and read the reviews.
    I think this is correct.

    1. Liquid foundation (let it dry first)

    2. Pressed Powder

    3. Concealer
    1 Foundation

    2 Concealer

    3 Pressed Powder
well my routine is oil free moisturizer, then concealer, then pressed powder...with this i get a nice, flawless look...
    concealer, foundation then pressed powder

Which covers up more? liquid conceal or mineral powder concealer?

To cover up veins that show on face? I'm using mineral powder foundation and thought mineral powder concealer should go with it too, I don't want to waste my money on something that will not not.work because I've heard the liquid covers up more. Also I'm just starting to use concealer, so... does concealer go after foundation if it's lqid? Or concealer should always be after foundation?

Your opinion.Which covers up more? liquid conceal or mineral powder concealer?
liquid always worked best for meWhich covers up more? liquid conceal or mineral powder concealer?
I use liquid. It covers up best. But powder is more easy on your skin.

Out of personal experince, which one of these liquid founcation/concealers is better?

Okay so this year, I'm going for a more natural look and right now, I'm working on the flawless skin look. I need to buy some liquid foundation/concealer and I'm stuck between Neutrogena SkinClearing makeup with MicroClear, or Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse.

So, out of personal experience, or friends experience, which one of these is a better choice to make my skin look even and blemish-free?

Thank you!Out of personal experince, which one of these liquid founcation/concealers is better?
Honestly, I've tried basically all of the drugstore brand concealers and none of them really made my skin look blemish-free. I have some acne scars and a few blemishes, and nothing gave me what I wanted. If you go to Sephora/Ulta, buy Amazing Concealer by Amazing Cosmetics. It's seriously the best beauty product I've ever bought. I guess this really doesn't answer your question, but I've tried both those products you said and nothing compares to AC. All you need is a tinytiny little dot and it'll cover an entire cheek. Usually after I put it on I put on some bronzer/blush, but on some days I feel fine with it alone. It doesn't make me break out either, after I put it on it feels like there's nothing on my skin. It costs 28 bucks, but I would seriously spend the extra money to go and buy it. It might even save you money, because since you need so little of it it's like you're barely using it. I bought mine in December and it's still not even halfway gone.Out of personal experince, which one of these liquid founcation/concealers is better?
i know trhat you didnt put Bare Natural, but it works really good and its natural (:
i honestly would go for rimmel londons brand ;] its amazing :]

  • Concealer: Liquid or Stick?

Ok, I have dark circles under my eyes - and when I feel like looking ';fresh'; I use a concealer.

Which is better, liquid or stick concealers?

    In terms of:

    - Hides More.

    - Better for my skin (I don't like using make up too much, so I don't clog my skin or damage it).

Also, do you recommend any certain brand?Concealer: Liquid or Stick?
liquid is definitely more blendable than the stick. im a concealer and mascara freak, so ive tried almost everything. the true match concealer from l'oreal is pretty easy and light, i'd stick with that line for powders and concealers. remember not to rub it in, use ur ring finger to dab/pat it into ur skin. at first i wasnt used to it so it felt weird but it works! and rubbing definitely does not look natural.

remember tho, if you dont like the product, opened or not, u can always return it. that goes for everywhere.

i hope that helps :)Concealer: Liquid or Stick?
If you want a fresh, possibly dewy look, go with liquid.

For a more matte look, stick.

It really depends on what type of skin you have.

    Dry, oily, sensitive, etc etc

If you have really clear skin and just want to even your skin tone out, powder should work just fine.

If you have a little acne, liquid with a light finish of powder should do the trick.
i've tried all kinds and i like liquid the best, if you get a good one it goes on nice and smooth and it doesnt feel like your wearing 20 lbs of makeup but does a really good job of toning and covering. Im now using a liquid one from mac and i love it (:
Shaklee for younger than me skin.

    For blemishes, stuck and medicated.

Maybelline Pure Concealer Blemish Treatment Stick.

    http://www.drugstore.com/search/search_r鈥?/a>Stick or liquid concealer?
i use liquid concealer because it is easier to blend and doesn't look flaky and orange on dry skin. i think liquid concealer gives better coverage as you can layer it without it looking cakey on your face. i use maybelline mineral power liquid concealer in shade 01. i LOVE it .. it's my beauty must have. x
Stick is thicker so it has thicker coverage.

Liquid is thinner so it has a sheer coverage.

I actually use liquid. I feel more relaxed knowing that i am not looking like a cake. But i have used stick before, and i just don't like how it feels as much.

I also recommend powder concealer. It works well during the summer.

    Good Luck!
    both are good.

i have both and use them together if needs be.

i find that natural collection stick cover up stays on for longer and is easy to apply. the liquid you have to apply more but it easy to apply.

you could get both and see the difference between to 2.

    :)
Stick has better coverage, but I use

    liquid.

I think I'd prefer liquid/cream so please suggest them types. Currently looking at Revlon's, Loreal's, Bourjois Paris, Max Factor...

Feel free to suggest other brands.

Also, I live in England, so please put forward brands which are available here. For example, I've looked everywhere, but Cover Girl isn't available here.

I have pimples %26amp; getting liquid concealer..do I need moisturizer?

and should I apply sunscreen then liquid concealer or the other way?I have pimples %26amp; getting liquid concealer..do I need moisturizer?
liquid concealer is terrrible if you have a lot of pimples...you probally have them from that...they clog your pored so the oil builds up to make pimples appear....try bare minerals makeup...it's all natural...i had terrible skin untill i tried that...good luck, i know how frustrating pimples can be:)I have pimples %26amp; getting liquid concealer..do I need moisturizer?
DO NOT USE MOISTURIZER !!!It will give you more pimples. Try proactive and if that dosent work go to a dermatologist!!! I know how you feel!!!
    o i can see one
Yes you definitely need a moisturizer. If you don't your skin will not be hydrated and produce oil to compensate which could lead to more pimples. If you have oily skin or are acne-prone you may find it difficult to find a good sunscreen since the spf can look shiny. Try using the powder sunblock from colorscience. The stuff is amazing and has really made a huge difference in my skin.

If you would still like to wear makeup to help the appearance of your skin you can try Laura Mercier's line. Use the primer so that there is a barrier between your skin and the makeup. Use the oil free foundation and apply with a damp sponge so that coverage is sheer. Then you can dab on concealer using a brush and blending it with your finger tips. Set everything with some translucent powder. Good luck
Everyone needs a moisturizer and a sunscreen every day. Apply concealer after creams and before foundation.
You should really check the ingredients of your liquid concealer, if it is oil based STOP USING IT!! You need to find something water based because it sounds like you have an acne problem.

And you do need moisturizer, in fact if you are using liquid concealer you can mix them together and the concealer stays on your skin better, not sure why, but it does.

And sunscreen should be worn, you can get lubriderm lotion which contains 15 spf lotion and it is an excellent moisturizer. Good luck!
    Yes, you need moisterizer.

And put sunscreen on before you put any other make up on

It's very good, I've been using it since March and even though it seems small, there is a lot of product, (I have more than half left). It covers blemishes/zits/scars very well, but not so much for dark circles. It doesn't break out my acne-prone skin and lasts very long. It cost around $8-$10.

I have liquid foundation, concealer, blush, and eyeshadow all over my carpet, i havent touched it yet HELP!!?

I have ';little hands'; that have gotten into my make-up bag.. My youngest dumped a brand new bottle of liquid foundation on the carpet... So, I used SPRAY n WASH with RESOLVE on the carpet and blotted the area with a thick absorbant cloth.... I got out my wet/dry vac and used it to extract the make-up... Just be sure to take out the paper filter for wet applications.... I then saturated the area with clean cool water and extracted the water over and over till the stain was gone.... If you can and the make-up is dry like eye shadow and blush you might be able to vacuum it up... Or sprinkle it with baking soda to absorb any oils and vacuum it up.... Good luckI have liquid foundation, concealer, blush, and eyeshadow all over my carpet, i havent touched it yet HELP!!?
you dropped your make-up kit? enough said ... you can try this ..

1 .. get a towel, soak it in water and damp it ... damp it over the stains .. do not rub or it will spread. just make sure the towel is not dripping wet .. it should be DAMP - wet.

    2. have an old toothbrush ready, good if you have bleach. (a good one would be clorox bleach cleaner which you can get from a dollar tree store.

    3. spray a bit of water and detergent over the stains and then spray some detergent on it ..

    4. leave it a few minutes, give the bleach time to work

    5. again, damp the stains with a wet towel ...

repeat as necessary ..I have liquid foundation, concealer, blush, and eyeshadow all over my carpet, i havent touched it yet HELP!!?
Yuck! Work carefully not to spread the stain larger.

You need a dry cloth to get up as much of the liquid foundation as possible. Vacuum what you can what is left.

Use a clean cloth with Dawn dish soap to get up the greasy foundation.

Use another clean cloth with just cold water to work at the rest.

    Good luck.

clinique.comWhat are some good liquid founations %26amp; concealers for sensitive skin?
I find Clinique foundations (either superbalanced or even better) are great liquid founations for sensitive skin. If you want a cheaper alternative then you could try Maybelline. Their dream matte mousse is nice or their newer Natural Perfecting Liquid Foundation which has 100% micro-mineral pigments so it's more natural than other products and doesn't dry out the skin.

These products work for me so I hope this helps.

    I used to use:

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for sensitive skin, and

    covergirl liquid concealer.

My skin was never dry, but it was very oily,

    so then I switched to:

Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for combination skin, and

    maybelline stick concealer.

and now my skin is DRY DRY DRY! and makes my makeup look cakey!

    what the heck!?

Is it because of the stick concealer or do you think it's the moisturizer or a combo of the two?

I don't know what to do! My skin was too oily, and now it's too dry.

My skin is very sensitive and a lot of products make me break out. maybe a different brand of moisturizer?? it needs to be oil free though and not too expensive, and available at a drugstore.

And I can't order it online either.

please help! I feel ugly and self concious!Facial skin is very dry! Is it my new moisturizer or the fact that I switched from liquid to stick concealer??
I also have very sensitive skin, and can only use a limited handful of products. I think it's probably just the moisturizer. Often when you change products it takes time for your skin to adapt to this product. So I say go back to the original, I would prefer oily to dry. I get dry skin to and its such a hassle.Facial skin is very dry! Is it my new moisturizer or the fact that I switched from liquid to stick concealer??
it could be a combination of both. however, from my own experience, stick concealers tend to cause dryness compared to liquids. i have combination skin and use olay moisturizer.
Ugh. Neutrogena sucks. I doubt your new makeup is the problem; it's most likely the different moisturizer.

You should try Clean %26amp; Clear daily moisturizer. It's light and smells good and only costs around $4 at Target.

    You should also chill out.
The make up may have caused your dry skin, if your skin is that sensitive sometimes a slight change in product can trigger a reaction. First of all, don't worry and don't feel ugly, all women have had problems and no one is perfect.

Secondly, I understand how you feel, I have a similar problem. I would stick to the moisturizer if it works for you and maybe go back to the liquid concealer, not stick. If it was getting too oily, switch to something lighter with SPF. I use Dove's moisturizing face lotion with SPF and during the summer when it get's really hot I use Clean and Clear's oil free oxygenating moisturizer, it's very light and both Dove and Clean %26amp; Clear are affordable.

Right now though treat your skin properly and stop using the concealer and let your face get back to normal. Go to bed with a moisturizer on and stick to a gentle cleanser. Also, my saving grace is Clean %26amp; Clears oil-blotting sheets. Good luck!
It's probably a combination of the two. I think you should try Clean %26amp; Clear dual action. It works well for oily skin and it's gentle!
In many years in the prestigious cosmetics business i saw countless girls with your problem...oily skins do not turn dry from products applied to the outside of the skin...oil glands are well below the surface and are not affected

I'm going to guess that you are seeing dead skin that is looking like flakes...hence the cakey part.

your skin naturally exfoliates, removes this dead skin and the new products are probably hindering this process...This is your new plan of action:

You need to wash your skin like you always have than you need to exfoliate and moisturize...Clinique has a three step process that starts at around 32.50...still too expensive? That's OK, good habits are worth their weight in gold...I still haven't found anything that beats their exfoliating scrub though...Stick concealers tend to either be little coverage and so you over apply or they are for an older drier skin.

The conclusion is that good skin care will make most foundations look good...I am currently using a Jane foundation that cost me like $3...I put my money into skincare...The other cool thing is that if you don't like skin care that you get at the department store you can return it or exchange it until you like it.

Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?

Is this too much to wear if it's applied nicely, and very well?

Illuminater is a complexion enhancer that gives you a natural glow.

Opinions?Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?
light liquid foundation first just to even out your skin tone,

then concealer so the foundation doesn't rub it off....... then light powder to blend it with big brush.... then lightly brush on bronzer/blush ..... light eye color on top of brow and eyelid.... in crease do a darker color that brings out the color of your eyes..... a lil eye liner and blackest black for your lashes and you are ready girl!Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?
Try to use a Foundation that has a powder finish. A eye cream at night to reduce the dark spots under your eyes, that way you don't need the concealer. A spray tan that includes the illumination. and the eye makeup... that way you won't have some many different products and it will cut the price.

E-mail me if you want some great ideas.
I think you should take out either the blush or spray tan, since you have the illuminater to give you a natural glow.

But you can wear whatever you want, and if you apply small amounts of each, it should look fine :)

but if I wore that, I think it would make me look cakey...
    a pic would help.

if it is very clear that you do this. then stop. but if we cant tell then youre okayy.
i say take away the spray tan.. you should be fine if its minimal
    TOO MUCH.
    thats what i wear lol
do not put on too much. if you use it correctly and lightly it will look great!

powder for summer. liquid for winter, or cream if you need more coverage. try a spray foundation for summer if powder isn't enough coverage. :)
I have tried them all and I think the best ones are the mineral foundations. I like Bare Minerals because i think it provides the best coverage. I do not know how old you are but I find that the cream and liquid foundations tend to show fine lines more.
it depends on what kind of coverage you want. if you want minimal coverage, then you can even just use a tinted moisturizer with an spf so it will even out your skin tone. if you want some coverage, but dont want to feel cakey, then try sally hansen's airbrush makeup. it's very sheer, and doesn't feel like you are wearing layers on your face. liquid and cream foundation tend to be for heavier coverage. You can try a powder and see if it gives you enough coverage or not. For concealer I like to use a liquid stick and dab on after i apply foundation, so it doesn't smear and gives a more natural appearance.

I heard that there are different methods your suppose to put it on.. like if you want concealer...then wear it after liquid foundation??

Thank you SOO much!Concealer, Liquid Foundation, Cream Foundation, Powder Foundation Question!!?
    liquid foundation

    concealer

    cream foundation

    concealer

    concealer

powder foundationConcealer, Liquid Foundation, Cream Foundation, Powder Foundation Question!!?
Powder foundation is normally lighter and looks natural, however that is not always the case. Cream foundation is normally thicker and good for coverage. Concealor is great for coverage.

It is best not to apply all three because in the long run your skin will look quite haggard and not very youthful, so I'd suggest wearing a bit of concealer for blemishes or to even out skin colour. I'd then wear powder.

For more coverage, or a night out, or special occasion I'd suggest wearing the cream or liquid foundation with moisturiser mixed in so it doesn't streak or look caked up. I'd then suggest you use the concealor for any bits that the foundation didn't clear out. After I'd wear transculent powder to set everything off.

You can use concealer before wearing cream/liquid foundation but it is best to use it after so you know where you need to conceal instead of using it beforehand as the foundation should cover most of it.

    Hope I helped!
    I acually use three:

FIRST: I put concealer underneath my eyes(for dark circles) then cover pimples or whatever else.

SECOND: I grab my sponge(for liquid foundation) and put a little water on it. then put my foundation on it and dab it over the concealer for it

have a better blended look. put the foundation on your face to. haha.

THIRD: once I have my liquid foundation on I get a medium blush brush and put your powder onthe brush and go underneath your eyes and a little on your face.

that's all I do. it doesn't look oily or dry. and you don't look like a cake face.

    I hope this helped you(:
I wear Bare Minerals ! I love it and wouldn't change for anything ! I like it because you don't have to wear all the layers of make up. But.........I will wear a little of liquid around my eyes and so forth, but all and all, I will layer my Bare Minerals ! I am light fare skinned with light freckles, and when done with applying the make up, you cant even tell I have freckles or am wearing alot of make up.

JUST DONT USE LIQUID FOUNDATION. ull ruin your skin

concealer first... and then powder foundation!

What's better, a stick or liquid concealer?

I have a small amount of acne, typical red bumps, white heads, yada yada yada. I've been using a sick stilia concealer the past two years I think, I've noticed it doesn't do much for me, and if anything it makes it feel like it's cakey at times. I have non-oily skin, and I'm thinking about getting a Victoria Secret liquid concealer, but I want to know what would be best to use, the stick, or the liquid?

Or if there's any good suggestions. If anyone suggests MAC, I've heard that they tend to break out your skin. By the way I have really sensitive skin, but I have yet to find any make-up that causes any sort of allergic reaction. I recently just got a brand new foundation that I love(mineral), so anything on concealer would help greatly. What's better, a stick or liquid concealer?
    liquid!

because its acne and you may use products on that to clear it up the area may be more dry. stick coverup could make it look even more dry, scaly, and gross. liquid with blend and look more healthy and naturalWhat's better, a stick or liquid concealer?
i say liquid concealer, you should go to sephora, they have a lot of different brands there and you can try em all on. i allso suggest you slice a lemon into quarts and use use the juice on your skin for the bumps and white heads. i had alot of scarring and my skin was horrible and i barely started using that 5 days ago and it's almost gone. since you dont have oily skin you should use it every other day
yeah the stick sucks because ive used it and its to mushy...i like the liquid better. the way i use it i put it all over my face and leave it on for a minute and then wipe it off. it really covers up all my red bumps. i use covergirl and there are types for sensitive skin.
What really matters is the quality of the concealer.

None are perfect, but there is a way to test if they are good.

Put some on your skin, then try to smear it. The more it smears, the less it will do it's job.

A good concealer won't smear much.
I like stick or loose powder concealer.

Liquid is really bad for your skin and it will just cause you to get moe pimples because your skin cant breath. I would recomend neutrugena stick concealer or bare minerals loose powder concealer. hope this helps!

    xoxo

    god bless
well, liquid and stick at least all the ones i have tryed have come out with the same results..they both look sort of cakey..which i hate..the best concelars are expensive and can break you out..but my favorite is loreal true match liquid...its amazing.
I prefer liquid it's easier on me
use both to conceal the best. first put on a little bit of stick concealer then put on liquid concealer over to hide the red.
stick concealer works better for dark circles, but thats if you can actually get it to blend. liquid would be better for covering up breakouts
Liquid because it will give you much better coverage. Otherwise, I like Sheercover cream concealer. It works best for me.
definitely liquid! i always find stick always looks re4ally chalky and lumpy :S Good Luck!xxx
i use a liquid because it has better coverage, try mabaline
liquid stays alot longer. sticks dont last aslong and tend to rub off easily but they are easier to blend
    MAC
there are creams too!. and i use all of them

Can you be allergic to liquid concealer?

I bought Loreal True Match liquid foundation, and the store where i bought it was a makeup store, so a makeup artist put it on to make sure it matched my skin color. Later that night, my eyes were really watery, could this be a sign i'm allergic? I didnt have any puffyness or itching, and my face did not break out, just watery eyes. Can you be allergic to liquid concealer?
It sounds like something got in your eyes. Lots of make up especially eyeshadow has metal resins and formaldehyde/ether as an ingredient. Nail polish too.Can you be allergic to liquid concealer?
You can be allergic to anything, even things you've been exposed to before.

Allergies are simply your body's defense system messing up. They see an ';invader'; when really it's just a dust molecule, or in this case, makeup on your skin.

Be careful with what you use, and if you want to be sure about it, use it once more, and see if it makes you watery again. If it does, through that sucker out, and try for a different makeup.
    yes
Yes you can be allergic. You have to be careful what you buy!

    i think so.

Shold i buy a liquid or a cream colour concealer for my dark cirlces?

Definitely cream. It will adhere to your thin skin around the eye. But just make sure not to rub it on, because that will cause it to come off. Just simply pat on with your finger. The best concealer I know for undereyes is Boi-ing by Benefit. It's about 16 dollars at Sephora. But so worth the money!Shold i buy a liquid or a cream colour concealer for my dark cirlces?
liquid is the bestShold i buy a liquid or a cream colour concealer for my dark cirlces?
Cream concealer... liquid concealers will fill in the fine lines underneath your eyes, making them more obvious.
Stick with cream. I've tried both and liquid always gets in the lines and emphasises all the other problems
i think it will be better if you use Touch E'clait from YSL. It is more like a lighter, so it will help to enlighten the dark area.
Cream if you have oily skin,Liquid if you have normal/dry skin.

If you have lines under your eyes use cream as liquid fills in the lines.

    Put over your foundation

  • I need a liquid concealer that won't make me break out?!?

Ok so I cleanse, tone, and moisturize twice a day. (morning and night). Now I have some small but kind of a lot and visible acne scars on my forehead and chin, so of course I need to use concealer. I'll use liquid foundation sometimes instead. I do not know which is better for you, but I like to use liquid and I apply it to my whole face to make my complexion look alot better, even though most of my face is acne-free. My face would be basically completely clear (except for the scars), if I didn't wear any makeup, but my scars look sooo bad and I need the color. But I take really good care of my skin other than the makeup.

So I would like to invest in a reallyyy good non-comedogenic, oil free concealer or foundation (whichever is better for my whole face) that WILL NOT at all break me out. This is usually what happens:

Sunday night before bed- clear skin, no pimples-maybe a few.

Morning- clear skin after washing face again and then apply my makeup.

Get home- 3 or 4 new whiteheads from my makeup. It goes away in 2 days, and then the process starts over again.

So all I need is good foundation or concealer. My mom told me concealer is better and it won't clog my pores? So please suggest a good product for me that won't worsen my skin! Please not soo extremely pricey though, but I'm willing to pay a good amount.

Oh ya, and I have combination skin

(nose and forehead is oily, rest dry)

Please%26amp; Thank You for Answering!!:DI need a liquid concealer that won't make me break out?!?
maybelline power natural perfecting concealer is good very lightweight , no oil , talc or fragrance in it covers everything without looking cakey or over done it a liquid concealer and mineral base.

also Clinique advance concealer is good it hides flaws and blemish is fragrance free gentle on skin cost $20 but worth it it last a day long.I need a liquid concealer that won't make me break out?!?
BEYOND COLOR Radiant Lifting Concealer by Avon. There are great products that can also help you cleanse, tine, and moisturize. And Avon's products last longer so you won't have to apply makeup as often as you would by using store brands.
Well, somewhere on the package, there should be the word: noncomedogenic. It means that it doesn't clog pores. I have the Trublend whipped foundation and it works great against breaking me out, and that's while sweating a lot at practice, so I would recommend that. Good luck!
I've tried concealer %26amp; foundation %26amp; I'd have to say that foundation is lighter than concealer. I use Clinique liquid foundation %26amp; it's never made my skin break out. I've been using the stuff for 7 years. Some of my other friends use Prescriptives %26amp; they really like them as well. Hope that helps!
Revlon's Colorstay collection has a great liquid foundation, and its hypoallergenic, and its not oil based, its about $12 at any drugstore, give it a try and see how it works for you.
I think cover girl works great!
i use clean and clear liquid for sensitive skin, you put it right where the blemish is. it works so well! i hardly ever break out for a long period of time
mabe try using powder and then bare mineral stuff because its better for your skin because makeup cloggs your pours and that can be why you are getting achne
Try Physcian'sFormula. It is all light and nice looking.
Try Mac concealer it's really good.
I would say tinted moisturizer but you said you have very oily skin so it may look too shiny, but you could always brush some of the natural mineral powder over.

I use ';fake it foundation'; from benefit, which is a cream that turns into powder when you put it on, when i got it the lady said it doesn't block pores because its water based and its not harsh on your skin. It doesnt look cakey and gives you the right coverage.

I got it from benefit so look at the website!
i use almay smart shade makeup and smart shade concealer

the makeup isn't cakey or orangey, hasn't made me break out, and covers up pretty much all of my acne scars, but not the actual pimples.

the concealer covers up those, though! almay makeup is all nocomedogenic and oil free. the foundation is about 11 dollars, and the concealer 8. ( both are liquid. ) it's good stuff!
Brands of makeup have special ones for acne prone skin, so you could try one of those. Clinique has really nice foundations that don't break me out and I have really sensitive skin, so you could look into that. You could go to a Elder Bearman, Macy's, or other department store and they have a makeup department and the people working there will help you find what's right for your skin.

    Good luck!

Avon. Theres a good one in white and another one in black. I use them work well.
i love mac's select coverup concealer. its liquid, comes in a tube. love that stuff

Hi there! I sell both Mary Kay and Avon and I love so many of the products from there. I have great concealer and also a facial highlighting pen. I have a few customers who use that as a concealer, but I use the regular one at least for that. I have bad dark circles. People never believe that about me, but I really have bad ones. I know you live in the UK, but why don't you drop me an email. I will send you some samples for free (all my shipping is free) if you'd like and you can try it. Also, remember if you hate it, which you won't you can always send it back for a full refund. I also have this neat site that I can go to in MK and it will give me a list of all the colors and products you should use. sarahblanco06@yahoo.com. If you wanna IM me we can always do it like that too. Hey, have you ever thought about selling either Mary Kay or Avon? I don't know of anyone over there who sells that, I mean, I'm sure there are. Oh well, whatever, you think about it and I'll do everything I can to help you. I just think it'd be cool to have someone over there selling it too! It's just such a fun job! Have a good evening and I hope to hear from you soon!
    Hi

I work at the body shop and the liquid concealer is the dogs testicles. We were going over these today and they are brill for concealing bags and lines. I prefer it to the stick concealer.

Go into your local shop and ask for a demonstration, just say your looking to try the liquid concealer but want to see the effects of it first. We will happily make sure you find the right product for you. Also don't feel obliged to purchase it straight away, have an application, continue your shopping and see how it looks a few hours later.

    Hope this helps !
you can get liquid concealer from most make up brands - they look like lip gloss.

i like to use yves saint laurent concealer but its pricey and i usally buy it duty free on the aeroplane .
    Try MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer
Yves St Laurent Touche Eclat is basically liquid and is brilliant
i like Almay amazing lasting concealer, it works REALLY well

    Stick concealer VS liquid concealer?

i am debating between almay nearly naked cover up stick which is a stick concealer or almay line smoothing concealer which is a liquid concealer.. i hav this one pimple scar on my face that is kinda dark.. i wanna cover it cuz it looks kinda weird if only one pimple scar is on my face lol.. which one shuld i use to cover my dark scar? stick concealer or liquid? i heard stick concealers are thicker but they rub off... i want a concealer that will cover up and last long.. i dont want it to rub off or smear in the middle of the day.. plz dont recommend me MAC or sumthng like that.. THANKS SO MUCHH. XDStick concealer VS liquid concealer?
i say go with the liquid :] i also agree that stick concealers go smudge off. i would also recommend a cream one if you cant find a liquid.

What is better to set eyeliner: cream/liquid base or concealer, or just powder?

I use Touch Base by Clinique. It's a cream primer, it works great, and it's only $14.What is better to set eyeliner: cream/liquid base or concealer, or just powder?
Well a cheap, works just fine way is to put your foundation on the areas where you will be applying the eyeliner, (Liquid foundation works best) and then put a little bit of eye shadow above or below the eyeliner depending on if it's on your top or lower eye lid, and you should be good to go. Make sure to use water-proof eyeliner though. That helps a lot. What is better to set eyeliner: cream/liquid base or concealer, or just powder?

because it soaks up any moisture

    Liquid concealer or concealer stick???????????

which concealer is best to hide dark circles around the eyes? and which one do you prefer Loreal or Maybelline or avon?????Liquid concealer or concealer stick???????????
I use a concealer stick and it works pretty well. The one i use is Maybelline and it's made with minerals. I would suggest something similar.Liquid concealer or concealer stick???????????
Revelon is better than the three you mentioned, at least for a concealer.

    1. Put on eye conturing gel or mosturizer.

    2. Allow to soak into pores.

    3. Place contealer on the bone below the eye.

    4. Gently force upwards in small stokes.

    5. Use a tan colored (depending on your skin tone) powder and wipe under the eye (moving towards the nose)

    6. Use a white or cream colored eye powder 0r shadow on the corner of your eyes and in a small line under the eye.

    7. Put on eyeshadow based on your skin tone and eyecolor.

    8. Eyeliner looks best when put on your top eyelid

*tip* Remember that black eyeliner DOESNOT look good on everybody. For certain people it is extremely harsh on them, and most people do not realize it. However, If it works for you, then great! Some people look great with it on!

    9. Mascara is a girls best friend, well at least on the eyes. Use a mascara that doesnt leave smudges or clumps.

    10. Voila! I hope I helped a little bit!
I recommend a concealer stick for under your eyes, but ONLY under your eyes. Go for whatever's healthier.
Maybelline. And stick. The stick will help because it won't get messy and it'll help you to keep structure.

    Hope this helped!
Avon works good. You should buy some now. There's a huge beauty sale going on right now.

  • Maybelline mineral power concealer and liquid foundation?

    is it any good?

thanks.Maybelline mineral power concealer and liquid foundation?
I bought both the foundation and the concealer. The foundation feels really smooth on the skin, unlike some other foundations, but it does not give much coverage, so if you have lots of blemishes, then it wont conceal them much. The concealer is the same, it doesnt offer as much coverage as other make-up I have tried before, and you have to tap it onto the spot you want very gently.

If you have clear skin, though, it is a good choice, as it offers a light coverage, which you may want to achieve.

If you want more of a heavier coverage though, try Loreal Bare Naturale Gentle Mineral Make-up. I use this, and it is great! It covers up blemishes so well that I do not need to apply concealer, and because the formula is powder, you also dont need to apply powder over the top, like you would to set liquid foundations.

Hope this helps!!!Maybelline mineral power concealer and liquid foundation?
Maybelline is fine... But if its mineral makeup your after the i would opt for ID, Jane Iredale or any exclusive makeup brand that specialise in Mineral makeup only because they have been doing it for so long where as Maybelline is only new to it! But thats just my opinion, Maybelline is a good product and i would use it if i didn't have my other makeup.
    no

    dont use it

    Liquid concealer or stick?

Whcih is best ?Liquid concealer or stick?
Bit of both is best really, stick on blemishes and cream around the eyes. Good Luck xLiquid concealer or stick?
I prefer liquid. It blends in better than stick.
Liquid Concealer, deffinetally covers up more.
liquid. it spreads and blends better.
I like liquid...and then i usually put powder over it to absorb anything that my face doesn't use. And I dont have breakouts...maybe that's because I wash my face well everyday. Anyway...hope I helped!
I have combination skin, so liquid tends to be too heavy for me, even if applied in a very thin layer. Stick is usually lighter and absorbs better.
I find stick is best, It does depend on what skin you have.

    Oily Skin - Stick

    Dry Skin - Liquid.

It balances the type of skin you have =]

    Hope I helped. x

Concealer.. liquid vs the ones that come in lipstick form?

im 14 and i have like dark circles and i was wondering which concealer is better... or at least what is the diff between liquid and the other? i would like recommendations on which brands that are good when it comes to concealers, well just brands u can find at the drugstore like maybeline or rimmel..cover girl so on. oh and, dont concealer and foundation work the same?Concealer.. liquid vs the ones that come in lipstick form?
I'd say the creamier versions. Liquid ones can crease in the lines around your eyes and really age you.

Gemma Kidd Make-up School makes an amazing Concealer Duo with one pink-based concealer for covering grey circles/under eyes and one yellow based for covering redness/uneven skin tone.

They stay on for ages. But to answer your question, foundation is for ALL over lighter coverage, and concealer is for long lasting coverage in smaller areas. Do not mix them up! Minimal is best.Concealer.. liquid vs the ones that come in lipstick form?
I think that tube form is better. liquid can be smeared easily and don't dry that quickly. you would look much more natural with the paste base.
Creamier concealers are best for under the eyes. You can apply it with a small brush. Apply only where needed and set with a loose translucent powder. Concealer and foundation are totally different things. Maybe someone will explain it, I don't want to.............
Concealer is more for like ';spot'; treatments, foundation is used for large spaces, such as evening out the tones of your entire face. I use foundation to mask my circles and blemishes. The one I currently use and LOVE is called Visibly Even by Neutrogena. Apparently it improves skin tone. I'm not sure about that, but I know it stays put very well. I usually use my liquid foundation and then a powdered foundation over it, like those green covergirl compacts that are pretty cheap at basically any store. That way there's no shine. It also helps my eyeliner stay put very well, and if you need a quick adjustment you just pat a little powder on and you're set.

    Hope that helps. :)
To cover up dark circles, YSL is probably the best concealer in the market http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11鈥?/a>

If you would like to know how to apply concealer, here are few simple steps that you can follow...

    1. To hide dark under eye circles, select a cosmetic under-eye concealer that鈥檚 one shade lighter than the foundation you鈥檙e using.

    2. Understand that a pale yellowish concealer helps hide blue or grayish circles, while a light blue or mauvish concealer masks brownish under-the-eye bags.

    3. Begin with a freshly washed and exfoliated face. Dab concealer under your eyes gently, using a soft circular motion.

I';m 15 and I have dark circles under my eyes, I wen to walmart and bought some luquid concealer, just dab it under your eyes and they'll never know.
For my dark circle, I always like the liquid one, as I only believe my finger to apply it, without sponge or any other things. It gives me more natural looks.

Make Up For Ever concealer is the best.
The best concealer out there is Stila Perfecting Concealer. You can find it at Sephora, and some department stores for $20. It has the best coverage, and you only have to use a little, which will be perfect for you since you're 14.

Now, I realize you were asking for drugstore brands, but I do want to encourage you to try some of the department store brands too. The reason is most of the drugstore brands are just as expensive, maybe a ';few'; dollars less than the others. And, they're definately not good for your skin.

The most important thing is to take great care of your skin and be cautious about what you put on it. Brands like Clinique and Stila are very affordable, and they're designed to be better for your skin. And the best part, is they last longer than the drugstore brands! Doesn't it make sense to pay $20 for one tube of concealer that will last 3 months, instead of paying $10 for one that will only last one month?

Don't be shy about asking the girls that work at those counters for advice. That's why they are there. They will want to help you pick the right products for your age and skin type.

And, foundation isn't the same as concealer. Foundation is for your entire face and is very light. Concealer is to target problem areas and is heavier. Again, stop by a makeup counter and ask one of the girls there to show you.

    Have fun!
i use rimmel and its the lipstick kind. my mom gets it so idk where its from sorry.

    Liquid concealer or Powder?

Which one is better for my skin?

Which one covers up zits better?

Which one LOOKS the best on skin?

    I NEED ANSWERS PEOPLE!

i have oily skin and sometimes its dry! I dont know if i should use

    Liquid concealer

    or

    Mineral powder!

Any suggestions or product recommendations? Liquid concealer or Powder?
Mineral powder. It is the best for your skin. Minerals are natural.

If you have oily skin it will not get better with Liquid. Plus some Liquid concealer dry really bad.

Bare Essentials is a good mineral makeup company.

I also like Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder, and physicians formula.

    Liquid concealer or Powder?
Mineral powder. It's better for your skin, doesn't trap bacteria in the same way a liquid does, and works better on oily skin. Liquid concealers tend to settle in the creases of your skin.

What works better..powder concealer or liquid concealer?

It depends on what you want to achieve with your makeup and your skin type.

Powder concealer is best for oily skin because it absorbs oil and sweat and absorbs shine. It also lasts longer (usually a full day) and is easy to take with you to retouch intermittently. It provides a lot of coverage for blemishes, but also causes blemishes because it blocks the pores in the skin.

Liquid concealer is best for dry or normal skin because it is lighter and more translucent, creating a shine. More expensive brands usually also contain light-reflecting pigments, which minimises the appearance of bumps and incongruencies. It's healthier for the skin and looks fair more natural, but also sweats off easily. What works better..powder concealer or liquid concealer?
Liquid cakes more, so I usually use powder. It really just depends on how much you need it. Like if I'm having a bad face day, then I'll use liquid because it covers a little more.

i love bobbi brown products, if only they didn't cost an arm! try prestige cosmetics, they have a great under eye concealer. but to cover freckles bobbi brown's stick foundation is great, for a less expensive alternative, there's mac and sonia kashuk, especially the green concealer. if you would look at the color wheel, red or pink is complimentary or on opposite side to the greens, so in they cancel each other out.

the mac green one is on the mac pro though, the sonia kashuk has a pallet of 4 cream concealers in one pallet, use the peach colored ones for the under eye circles, where the light green one on your pimples, good luck!Good liquid concealer?

    Stick or liquid concealer?

What brand of concealer is best for very dark circles under the eyes, and small acne spots on the cheeks. Also, which is better, the liquid or the stick concealer that looks like lipstick. It would be nice if its easy to find and affordable. Please don't recommend M.A.C or Sephora.Stick or liquid concealer?
stick is better for pimples, while liquid is better for undereye circles and other form of pigmentations.

i uses loreal true match concealor. (shades are meant for asians)Stick or liquid concealer?
Dark circles under the eyes (and everything else) YSL Touche Eclat concealer.

Great cover the pimple trick: buy a green tinted concealer, dab it on lightly and cover it with your normal shade concealer (stick or liquid, doesn't matter). The green neutralizes the redness. Chanel makes one or ask at the makeup counter.
Ok hun, I use a stick foundation and its from Benefit. I got it from Macys and it was about $30 but it'll last you a good 10 months. And for concealer, I'd recommend Aromaleigh's Cream Concealer (www.aromaleigh.com -- click on Traditional Cosmetics) and it works wonderfully! http://www.aromaleigh.com/creamconcealer鈥?/a> have it, affordable and great coverage.

    i like powder concealer,,,i use bare minerals mineral veil...and it's awesome = )
    liquid
i do recommend mac and sephora. also channel.

it's the best. and really not too pricey.
    the stick concelar
liquid is better. and cover girl oil free is best its about 3 dollars?
I think the stick is better for spots, and the liquid is better for larger areas. I would try both and see which works better. I don't buy really expensive make-up, though, because that's dumb.

PS; it's not wearing make-up that makes them look like 'they've fallen in sh*t', it's the excessive amount that they use.
I think the stick would be better for ur eyes a

and the liquid for ur cheeks

but if u dont wanna buy both (both is better but..) pick liquid.
ii use stick because it's so easy to carry%26lt;3
I like the stick for undereye circle because I feel that it covers more. And the liquid for blemishes and other facial flaws because it blends more easily. Two drugstore brand I like are Covergirl and Loreal. Covergirl has both a great liquid and stick concealer. I like loreal liquid concealer as well because it matches the skintone to the tee.

    Liquid Foundation=Liquid Concealer?

I am just starting with makeup. I heard that if you use a liquid foundation you need to use a liquid concealer to make it look more natural. Is that true?Liquid Foundation=Liquid Concealer?
Yeah, in general, you want to layer similar textures. If you were to put a powder concealer over or under liquid foundation, you will end up with a mess because the liquid will alter the powder. Not good.Liquid Foundation=Liquid Concealer?
Whether your just starting out or been using makeup for years you need quality first. You do not need a liquid concealer to match a liquid foundation and I do highly recommend bee luscious photo touch mineral concealer it is AMAZING! along with their liquid minerals it is the best makeup I have ever worked with and my clients rave about it.
i think u should google Dinair Airbrush Makeup...its amazing...it works as my concealer and foundation. it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...i LOVE it...ive been using it for the past 2 years now and it my favorite makeup ever...anywho, hope i helped...=)
You don't have to use a concealer if you don't want to! It just depends if you have anything to cover with the concealer (pimples, dark circles, etc.)

    Concealer or liquid foundation first?

Any more tips for making the concealer last longer?Concealer or liquid foundation first?
Yes, concealer first, then foundation. The only tip I have is after you have put on your concealer, lightly dust finishing powder over top of it ~ it helps it to 'set'. However, go *very* lightly on the finishing powder otherwise it will look cakey.Concealer or liquid foundation first?
I do foundation first and then concealer. After you apply your foundation sometimes the imperfection doesn't look as bad and you decide it doesn't really need concealer, or at least not as much as you might have thought. Also I find applying the foundation kind of smears the concealer off unless you had a ton on there. Use powder to set your foundation and concealer, that will help it last longer. Other than that the only thing you can do is buy a better concealer. If you have oily skin don't use a creamy concealer or one that comes in a stick form because they stay moist and it will slide off your skin. Use the liquid kind that comes in a little tube with an applicator wand. It will dry and last longer.
concealer first. and invest in some good make-up brushes. that makes everything go on much smoother. (i like bobbi brown, a little pricey, but they last for forever. i've had their concealer brush for over three years now)
I put foundation on, then use concealer, then lightly powder. You end up not using as much makeup that way and it's not as cakey looking.
Concealer should go first. A tip to make concealer last longer is to buy a quality one like Laura Mercier's Secret Camouflage Concealer.

    I hope I helped! [:
concealer, then liquid foundation, then powder, then bronzer.
definatly go with conceler- liquid foundation -powder- blush
